The Royal Hotel

Tumut River Brewing Co.

This micro-brewery operate a 15,000 litre commercial brewhouse and a newly renovated venue comfortably seating 200 guests and offers 24 beers/ciders on tap including a range of staples, limited release seasonal offerings as well as rotating “guest taps”.

They also offer a selection of locally sourced wines and are developing a strong reputation for the quality of their gourmet pizzas.  Their J.W. Pilsner, Portstar Smoked Porter and Harald’s Helper Dunkelweizen have received national awards and patrons have the opportunity to sample these via their taproom and a brewery tour.

In addition to craft beer/cider and gourmet pizza, visitors can also enjoy live music – most weekends they host a wide variety of acts from around Australia.

Nest is a licensed cafe, boutique armchair cinema and beautiful bookstore, all in one cosy space in the mountains.  Nest loves using local produce from their wonderful surrounds and creating food for the seasons.   Drop in for their house made sweets and treats, T2 tea, coffee or book in for an antipasto plate, glass of local wine and a movie.  Maybe you’re more into sinking into the couch by the fire with hot chocolate and a good read? That’s okay too.

The Sir George

Located in the riverside village of Jugiong, the Sir George offers a unique eat, drink, bake experience in the Australian bush.  Built in 1852, the historic venue has been restored to create a warm and relaxed space where old meets new……with a restaurant, boutique bar, children’s play equipment and artisan bakery.
